Expect hands-on work away from the workshop. You will give mechanical support out in the field across many types of heavy equipment: attending breakdowns, finding the cause of faults, carrying out maintenance and backing up operations at client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out field repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, including preventative and scheduled servicing
Respond to breakdowns, diagnose mechanical and equipment faults and repair them promptly
Support shutdowns and equipment relocation
Handle major OEM heavy equipment with confidence
Keep workmanship high and plan daily work to hit deadlines
Produce accurate service reports and maintenance paperwork
Communicate clearly with clients, site representatives and the team
Comply with workplace and site safety procedures and contribute to a professional, safety-focused team

Requirements & Eligibility

Every qualification, your work history and your professional identity must be able to be verified
A Heavy Diesel trade qualification that is recognised, or an equivalent relevant qualification
Hands-on background as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic, fixing and servicing heavy mobile equipment
Sharp at diagnosing, finding faults and solving problems; having worked on major OEM equipment is highly regarded
A valid driver's licence suited to the role's requirements. Holding a High Risk Work Licence for LF and/or WP is advantageous
Comfortable working out in field service and solid on safe work practices
Ready to complete the required pre-employment assessments
Communicates well, both in writing and verbally
