General Manager wanted for a new accommodation and lifestyle operation in Wellington Central, New Zealand. This is a career-defining role for a proven hospitality leader who is ready to take full ownership.

Key Responsibilities
- Run the accommodation, housekeeping, maintenance, guest services and food and beverage functions
- Own the entire property operation and deliver strong business performance
- Head the launch and operational set-up of a new hospitality venue
- Put dependable systems, processes and service standards in place from the start
- Coach, develop and support department leaders, and back employee engagement, training and professional development
- Shape a culture of accountability, collaboration and service excellence
- Deliver a consistently high-quality experience for guests throughout their stay
- Track revenue, labour efficiency and operational costs, using data and insights to raise performance and guest satisfaction
- Catch problems early and fix them with practical solutions
- Keep all departments communicating clearly for smooth operations
- Lead by example on the property's values and guest interactions, driving continuous improvement without losing consistency
Requirements & Eligibility
- Applicants must demonstrate verified skills, experience and leadership capability
- Proven senior-level experience managing accommodation, hospitality or lifestyle-focused properties
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple departments and manage operational complexity
- Strong hospitality leadership background with measurable business outcomes
- Experience developing teams, processes and service standards in a dynamic environment, balancing hands-on leadership with strategic business planning
- Understanding of accommodation operations, guest experience management and profitability drivers, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, labour management and cost control
- Strong communication skills that influence and motivate diverse teams
- Confident decision-maker who takes a practical approach to operational challenges
- Food and beverage leadership experience is highly regarded
- Passion for hospitality, travel, people and creating memorable experiences
