Electrician

This role is for an experienced Electrical & Security Technician who can show genuine trade capability. You will be expected to take ownership of work in residential and commercial settings and to earn the trust of clients through solid professional standards.

The position, based in New South Wales, mixes traditional electrical work with modern security solutions: CCTV, alarms, intercoms and access control. Work is local, on a consistent 40-hour week, with support and training to broaden what you can do technically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and service security systems, including CCTV and surveillance, alarms, intercoms and access control
  • Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs at residential and commercial properties
  • Assess what each job requires and complete it accurately and efficiently
  • Travel to customer sites and finish the work allocated to you to a high professional standard
  • Take full ownership of assigned jobs with minimal supervision
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to build positive relationships and keep them informed on job progress and requirements
  • Comply with electrical safety requirements and workplace procedures
  • Keep your tools, equipment and work area in safe, orderly condition
  • Present the business professionally in customer homes and commercial premises

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Must hold an Australian electrical licence or an overseas electrical qualification eligible for Australian licensing
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience as an electrician
  • Proven residential and commercial electrical experience
  • Confident working with electrical systems and installations
  • Experience with CCTV, alarms, intercoms or access control is an advantage
  • Must own electrical hand tools
  • Hold an Australian driver's licence
  • Hold a White Card
  • Working at Heights and EWP tickets: advantageous
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with a professional appearance and conduct around clients
  • Reliable and self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Able to provide verifiable proof of qualifications and employment experience
  • Overseas-qualified candidates meeting Australian licensing eligibility are encouraged to apply; sponsorship is available for eligible overseas candidates
