An electrical ticket alone will not carry you on a remote construction site. This FIFO project role needs Electricians who can work without close supervision, adjust fast and produce dependable, safe results on whatever task comes up.

The job runs on a 2:1 roster, with accommodation and meals provided. You will sit within a practical team that supports construction and infrastructure work, side by side with other trades, so the job keeps progressing without cutting corners on safety.

Key Responsibilities

Find and fix electrical faults as they arise
Handle electrical installation and maintenance on remote construction projects, including work in mining, civil and heavy industry environments
Lay and maintain HV and LV cabling and carry out switchboard and MCC terminations
Install motors, lighting, power systems, steel conduits and earthing systems
Coordinate shared jobs with fitters, plumbers and civil teams
Adapt to shifting priorities and the realities of remote sites
Follow safe practices on the tools and meet the required quality
Protect project deadlines by being a team member who shows up and communicates clearly

Requirements & Eligibility

Nationally Recognised Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification, backed by a current electrical licence appropriate to the position
Current First Aid and CPR, plus UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel
Verified experience relevant to construction, mining, civil or heavy industry, with a record of working safely in remote or project-based environments
A demonstrated track record across varied electrical tasks
Commitment to a 2:1 FIFO roster and willingness to complete required pre-employment checks
A reliable, adaptable way of working on site, with strong communication and teamwork
Refrigeration tickets: highly desirable
Certificate IV in Instrumentation: advantageous
Fibre endorsements: advantageous
ACMA accreditation: advantageous
Certificate II in Split Air-conditioning and Heat Pump Systems: advantageous
