Early Childhood Teacher

Vacancies: 5 full-time Early Childhood Teacher positions with a well-established early childhood education provider in Queensland that is expanding its kindergarten teaching team.

The work is delivered within government-approved kindergarten programs. Teachers create meaningful learning experiences and build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues in a professional setting where child development, educator collaboration and long-term career growth are taken seriously.

Visa sponsorship is available for eligible overseas candidates, offering a possible pathway for suitably qualified international teachers. Packages may be tailored to each successful applicant and can include flexible working, competitive remuneration and potential childcare assistance. Key Responsibilities

  • Keep parents and families in the loop on what their children are learning and how they are developing, building a strong professional partnership with each family
  • Earn each child's trust through a positive, respectful approach
  • Lead kindergarten sessions that are engaging and pitched at the right developmental level
  • Make the room a safe, welcoming and stimulating place for every child
  • Look after the individual learning, growth and wellbeing of each child
  • Design learning activities, write them up and review how well they worked
  • Watch how children are progressing, record it, and keep the electronic programs, observations and portfolios up to date
  • Work hand in hand with fellow educators and teaching staff
  • Suggest and carry out changes that make the kindergarten program better
  • Stick to the National Quality Standards and National Regulations, and keep health, safety and wellbeing practices in order
  • Attend professional development sessions and keep up your training
  • Pass on knowledge and ideas to Early Childhood Teachers in other parts of the group, and keep the workplace positive, respectful and cooperative

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Pathway A – you already hold an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification
  • Pathway B (OR) – you have an approved Diploma-level Early Childhood Education and Care qualification and are actively studying for an ACECQA-approved ECT qualification
  • Pathway C (OR) – you are actively working through an approved ECT qualification, with at least 50% of it done
  • Anyone using the 50% completed pathway must supply academic transcripts
  • Applications from overseas-qualified candidates are encouraged
  • You must satisfy the applicable ACECQA assessment and the relevant English language requirements
  • You must be eligible for the applicable Australian visa pathway
  • You can obtain and hold a Queensland Working with Children Blue Card and will clear a National Police Check
  • First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training that is current, or you obtain these qualifications as required
  • Strong command of written and spoken communication
