Full-time permanent position: Early Childhood Teacher / Early Childhood Educator at a well-established early learning centre in Victoria, Australia.
You will provide education and care for children from infancy to kindergarten age and help create engaging learning experiences that support their development, working with a dedicated team of educators. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the centre complies with Early Childhood Education regulations and its own policies
- Plan and deliver engaging learning programs, providing high-quality education and care under approved frameworks
- Promote children's learning, wellbeing and development across social, emotional, physical and cognitive areas
- Keep the learning environment safe, inclusive and nurturing
- Observe and assess each child's progress, and maintain accurate records and learning documentation
- Develop positive relationships with children, their families and your colleagues
- Collaborate with other educators and the centre leadership team
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement, team meetings and professional development
- Apply positive behaviour guidance and inclusive practices
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming space for learning
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, or an equivalent qualification that is ACECQA-approved
- Minimum 12 months working in an early childhood education setting
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), plus understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Strong understanding of current early childhood education practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team
- Passion for children's learning and development, and commitment to high-quality education and care
- Strong organisational and time management skills
