Pay first: up to $55 per hour plus allowances, backed by company-provided resources, continuing training and the benefits of long-term employment. The opening is for an experienced Crusher Fitter / Boilermaker joining a professional equipment service team in Adelaide, Australia.
It suits a tradesperson who likes cracking mechanical problems and owning the job of keeping critical heavy processing machinery running. You will not be stuck at one workplace or on one type of machine. The work moves between the workshop, client sites and regional locations, on crushers, screens and other mobile and fixed plant, with the emphasis on planned maintenance, diagnosing faults, repairs and looking after customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Head out to customer locations for technical service and breakdown call-outs, at metropolitan, regional and remote sites whenever needed
- Keep heavy processing plant, both mobile and stationary, serviced and maintained, including preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs and preparing units before delivery
- Track down why machines break down, and judge machinery condition to advise what corrective or preventative work is needed
- Handle hydraulic faults end to end: pressure and flow testing, checking components, repairing or replacing them, and working from hydraulic schematics, service manuals and OEM technical documents
- Troubleshoot electrical controls on 12 and 24 volt systems by reading schematics and testing voltage and continuity
- Complete detailed service and technical reports after each job
- Log every inspection, repair, test, equipment setting and photograph
- Stick to OEM specifications, workplace procedures and safety standards on all work
- Speak directly with customers and offer practical technical fixes
- Help customers cut downtime so their plant runs reliably
Requirements & Eligibility
- Full unrestricted Australian C Class Driver Licence, or able to get one
- HR and forklift licences: advantageous
- Trade qualification, recognised and relevant, in Fitting, Boilermaking, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 2 years post-trade in a relevant mechanical role
- Hands-on time with quarry, mining or fixed-plant gear, as well as heavy industrial or mobile machinery
- Crushing, screening or mineral processing equipment experience is highly regarded
- Solid mechanical troubleshooting and repair, with strong problem-solving and fault-finding
- Practical hydraulics know-how and the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Basic electrical diagnostics on 12 and 24 volt systems
- Prepared to move between workshop, customer and site work and to travel to regional and remote areas
- Fit for hands-on mechanical work, able to meet the pre-employment medical requirements and pass drug and alcohol screening
- Self-motivated and dependable, works well alone or in a team
- Takes workplace health and safety seriously, communicates professionally and gives good customer service
