Concreter/Machine Operator

Concrete finishing and machine operation, combined in one role. An established construction team is hiring a Concrete Finisher/Machine Operator for projects across Western Australia.
The employer wants proof of real practical skills, a reliable employment record and the ability to work safely in tough project conditions. You should be confident with concrete and construction machinery and able to adapt fast when project needs change. Versatility, teamwork and consistent quality matter here. Key Responsibilities
- Follow site safety procedures and keep to required workplace standards
- Carry out concrete finishing on various construction projects
- Prepare and level concrete surfaces
- Smooth and finish surfaces to the requirements of each project
- Operate excavators and skid steers
- Use other relevant construction equipment
- Support general civil and construction work where required
- Adjust to different sites, tasks and conditions
- Work productively within a construction team
- Deliver consistent workmanship with attention to detail
- Get assigned tasks done within the required project timeframes
- Keep equipment and work areas safe and in order
- Undergo required medical and drug and alcohol testing
Requirements & Eligibility
- WA HR Class Driver Licence
- Current Construction White Card
- Minimum 2 years of concrete finishing experience relevant to this work
- Construction experience gained hands-on, which you can demonstrate and which can be verified
- Has operated excavators, skid steers or comparable machinery
- Holds relevant machine tickets, or is willing to obtain them
- Can work 12-hour day shifts on a 2:1 roster
- Can pass a pre-employment medical
- Can meet regular drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Strong awareness of safety on site
- Professional work habits
- Reliable and able to adapt as project requirements change
- Visa sponsorship may be considered for candidates whose experience is verified and who meet the relevant requirements
