CNC Press Brake / Turret Operator

A Press Shop Team Member is needed in New Zealand to operate advanced CNC manufacturing equipment. You need practical Press Brake and/or Turret experience, and the role is a long-term one for the right sheet-metal professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all manufacturing, quality and workplace safety procedures, and report any equipment, material or quality issues you find
  • Set up Press Brake and/or Turret CNC machinery, select operating parameters and run it in production
  • Work from technical drawings, work orders and production instructions to process sheet-metal parts to the specified dimensions and tolerances
  • Carry out forming, bending and straightening
  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy, adjusting machines so output stays consistent
  • Monitor production performance, cut material waste and meet production and delivery schedules
  • Keep machinery and work areas in order
  • Communicate with supervisors and production teammates and support the efficient daily running of the Press Shop

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Hands-on experience with Press Brake and/or Turret machinery that you can prove
  • A background in sheet-metal fabrication or manufacturing
  • Practical experience operating and/or setting up a CNC machine
  • Can read and understand technical drawings and production specifications
  • Know how sheet-metal forming and bending processes work
  • A demonstrated focus on accuracy and quality, and the ability to keep pace in a production-driven environment
  • Strong awareness of safety and a dependable work approach
  • Good at teamwork and communication
  • Willing to work night shifts, Monday to Friday
  • Can provide employment history and relevant experience that can be verified
