CNC Machine Operator / Machinist

Trade · Christchurch Central, Canterbury, New Zealand · Full-Time · $35/hr

Anyone can call themselves a machinist on a CV. This employer wants to see what you can actually set up, produce, measure and solve. The opening is for CNC Machinists with genuine, verifiable hands-on expertise, ready for a technically demanding engineering environment in New Zealand.

The work covers CNC milling, turning and multi-axis machining across precision components, complex industrial parts, one-off jobs, small production runs and repair or refurbishment work, so the role calls for someone who can assess jobs, make informed technical decisions and produce accurate results with minimal supervision.

Expect your claimed background to be checked against credible evidence of your skills and employment history. Employer sponsorship is available for candidates who meet the required criteria. Machinists from Nigeria and elsewhere should prepare that evidence before applying.
