A respected public practice firm in New South Wales, Australia needs an experienced Client Manager. Your experience, qualifications and employment background have to line up with the role, and they need to be verifiable.

The setup is different from most practices: no traditional timesheets and a monthly subscription model, which frees you to focus on real client engagement instead of billable hours.

You will manage an established portfolio, work closely with business owners and give practical advice on financial performance, planning, cash flow, forecasting and taxation. This suits accountants who are already trusted advisers and are ready to own client relationships and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage an established portfolio of business clients and build long-term, trusted relationships with their owners
Deliver practical, commercially focused advice as a reliable adviser for ongoing client needs
Review financial information, discuss performance with clients and flag opportunities, risks and improvement areas
Support business planning, strategic decision-making, cash flow management and financial forecasting
Guide clients on taxation and accounting matters
Take charge of accounting and taxation compliance requirements
Work with colleagues to produce accurate, high-quality outcomes for clients

Requirements & Eligibility

CA or CPA qualification and a minimum 3–5 years of experience in public practice accounting
Hands-on record of managing and advising business clients
Strong ability in business advisory work and client relationship management
Excellent communication that builds trust and credibility, and confidence dealing directly with business owners and key decision-makers
Strong commercial awareness and practical problem-solving
Sound knowledge of accounting and taxation compliance requirements
Professional background and qualifications that can be verified for employer consideration
Australian work experience will be highly regarded; eligible candidates with the right experience and verified credentials may be considered for sponsorship
