Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of how the whole kitchen performs, from daily food preparation to the running of each shift
- Lead the kitchen team through service and support the training and development of staff
- Turn out quality meals across a mixed commercial menu, with steaks and the other core dishes prepared properly every time
- Assess existing menu items, propose improvements and build new dinner, takeaway and dine-in options
- Refresh and upgrade what is offered at breakfast
- Hold food quality, presentation and portions to one steady standard, including during high-volume periods you have prepared for
- Watch inventory, organise replenishment and control how food is used to cut down on waste
- Run efficient kitchen workflows and enforce food safety, hygiene and cleanliness requirements
- Work alongside management on improving the overall food operation
- Uphold professional standards in every service
Requirements & Eligibility

- A demonstrated professional history working as a Chef
- Background in a busy commercial or high-volume kitchen
- Strong skills in cooking and food preparation
- Proven ability to cook steaks to a high standard
- Menu development or menu improvement experience
- Capable of managing kitchen responsibilities without close supervision, with strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Performs effectively under fast-paced conditions
- Close attention to food quality and consistency, plus good communication and organisational skills
- Prepared to work a rotating roster and live on-site as required
- A firm commitment to food hygiene standards and workplace safety
- Strong equivalent industry experience and/or a relevant culinary qualification
