Key Responsibilities
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace compliance at all times
- Deliver high-quality cooking and food preparation every day
- Manage the kitchen workflow from preparation to the close of service
- Organise prep tasks so service runs smoothly and on time
- Hold consistent standards for food quality, portions and presentation
- Contribute to menu improvements, seasonal dishes and creative concepts
- Apply food costing, pricing and profitability knowledge while controlling stock usage, monitoring wastage and improving efficiency
- Support junior staff through guidance and knowledge sharing, and help maintain a positive, professional kitchen culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant culinary qualification or a strong, proven background in the industry
- Demonstrated experience as a Chef or experienced Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Verified employment history, with practical skills you can demonstrate
- Understanding of kitchen operations, stock management and food costing
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Reliable work ethic, professional communication and effective collaboration with kitchen and service teams
- Willingness to relocate and establish a career in New Zealand
