Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate lunch and dinner service preparation, completing mise en place and food prep each day
  • Cook meals to the set standards, sticking to recipes while keeping quality and consistency
  • Check presentation, portion control and quality of every dish
  • Contribute to recipe and menu development if required
  • Manage multiple cooking tasks in busy service, keeping performance consistent in a high-volume environment
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised workstation and apply proper food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Work closely with the wider kitchen team and ensure preparation and cooking are completed on schedule
  • Adapt to shifting service requirements and kitchen priorities
  • Pitch in on general kitchen operations as required
  • Contribute to a cooperative, professional and positive workplace

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Professional experience as a Cook or Chef that you can demonstrate
  • Proven commercial kitchen experience, including work in busy, high-volume hospitality environments
  • Ability to deliver consistent food quality under pressure
  • Sound knowledge of cooking methods and food preparation, with the ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures accurately
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Reliable, professional handling of workplace responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a kitchen team
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and passion for hospitality and food preparation
  • Availability for weekends, early mornings and late-night shifts when required
  • Experience across multiple hospitality venues is advantageous
  • Substantial industry experience and/or relevant culinary qualifications
  • Ability to meet applicable Australian employment and visa requirements and willingness to take part in the required candidate verification and assessment process; sponsorship available for eligible, suitably experienced candidates
