A New South Wales hospitality venue is hiring a Chef de Partie. What they want is simple: proven commercial kitchen experience, reliable performance on service and a strong commitment to food quality.

You will be responsible for your own section, hold preparation standards and turn out consistent dishes through busy services. The kitchen cooks with contemporary Japanese-Peruvian influences, so technique, freshness and presentation are taken seriously. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with other sections to keep service smooth, and work efficiently through high-volume lunch and dinner services
  • Take ownership of an allocated kitchen section, including preparation and daily operation
  • Complete mise en place to the quality and freshness standards required
  • Cook and prepare menu items consistently on service while controlling presentation, portioning and quality
  • Check ingredient availability and keep stock in suitable condition
  • Keep preparation, cooking and storage areas clean and organised, and follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
  • Support junior kitchen staff with preparation and kitchen procedures
  • Assist senior chefs in keeping kitchen standards up
  • Help build a respectful, reliable and team-focused workplace

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Genuine, verifiable employment experience that you can provide proof of
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or in a comparable professional kitchen role
  • Demonstrated commercial kitchen experience and strong practical cooking and food preparation skills
  • Can manage an allocated section during service
  • Understands food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures, and keeps quality and presentation consistent
  • Organised and productive during busy periods
  • Dependable attendance with a professional work ethic
  • Strong teamwork and communication
  • Willing to learn new techniques and culinary styles, with flexible availability for rotating rosters
