A construction and renovation business in Karratha, Western Australia, needs an experienced Carpenter & Cabinetmaker who can handle more than a narrow slice of carpentry.
Applicants must be able to prove their experience through work they have actually completed. The projects are varied: renovations, installations, fit-outs and maintenance, across different environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow all relevant workplace health and safety procedures
- Do carpentry on residential and commercial renovation projects, including general carpentry and building maintenance
- Install kitchens and complete cabinetry projects
- Measure, cut, assemble and fit cabinetry and timber components
- Handle bathroom renovations and refurbishments
- Deliver residential and commercial fit-outs
- Carry out roofing-related carpentry, and build and install fencing and other external structures
- Interpret plans, drawings and measurements
- Decide which materials, tools and methods suit each task
- Coordinate with other trades and members of the project team
- Work through assigned tasks independently and meet agreed project requirements
- Identify on-site issues and fix them with practical solutions
- Hold workmanship, accuracy and finish to a high standard, keeping tools, equipment and work areas organised and safe
- Conduct yourself professionally on customer and commercial sites and adapt to different projects and changing requirements
- Contribute to efficient project delivery and continuous improvement
Requirements & Eligibility
- Valid Australian work rights, or eligibility for an appropriate sponsored visa
- Minimum 4 years of carpentry work post-apprenticeship
- Proven practical experience in multiple areas of carpentry, with genuine hands-on trade experience you can demonstrate
- Strong cabinetmaking and kitchen installation background
- Domestic and commercial fit-out experience
- Roofing and fencing experience will be highly regarded
- Confident working independently, without constant supervision, and effectively alongside other trades and contractors
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Good problem-solving and attention to detail
- A reliable, motivated, professional work approach
- Willingness to upskill and extend your existing trade capabilities
- Own carpentry tools and a full Australian driver's licence
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
