Cabinet Maker

This is a permanent, full-time position with an established kitchen and cabinetry business in Western Australia. The company needs an experienced Cabinet Maker / Kitchen Installer who produces accurate, professional work and owns the result.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install kitchens, cabinets and cabinetry components in homes, making sure each unit is aligned, level and securely fixed
  • Work from cabinetry plans, drawings and specifications, interpreting them correctly
  • Take accurate measurements of installation areas and confirm dimensions on site
  • Assemble and prepare cabinets ahead of installation
  • Fit kickboards, fillers, panels, cabinet doors and hardware
  • Modify cabinetry to suit site conditions and complete on-site alterations and finishing work
  • Work with melamine, laminate and other cabinetry materials
  • Find practical solutions to installation challenges
  • Deliver projects efficiently to the required specifications while keeping workmanship and detail at a high standard
  • Cooperate with colleagues and other trades
  • Behave professionally when working at customer properties
  • Keep the work environment clean, organised and safe, and follow applicable workplace health and safety procedures

Requirements & Eligibility

  • You must currently be residing in Australia
  • A minimum 5 years of relevant cabinet-making, joinery or kitchen installation work
  • A trade qualification in cabinet making, joinery or a related discipline is preferred
  • Hands-on experience installing residential kitchens and cabinetry, backed by strong practical knowledge of cabinet construction
  • Accurate reading of plans, drawings and measurements
  • Strong eye for detail and quality control
  • Capable of on-site modifications and problem solving
  • Works well in a team, communicates clearly and can manage assigned tasks independently
  • Professional, reliable and safety-conscious in your approach
  • Australian driver's licence or ability to obtain one, plus reliable transport
  • Verifiable employment history and proof of relevant trade experience
  • Previous Australian industry experience is highly regarded
