Hiring now: experienced Boilermakers and Pipefitters for a leading engineering and maintenance contractor in Western Australia.

The job splits between the workshop and project sites. You will handle structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) fabrication, maintenance and shutdown activities in the resource and energy sectors. Key Responsibilities

Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times and operate fabrication equipment and power tools safely
Handle structural steel fabrication and installation, as well as fabricating, assembling and installing industrial piping systems
Carry out welding to approved procedures and industry standards
Repair and maintain tanks, pressure vessels and structural components
Interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans, and inspect finished components against quality standards
Complete fabrication in the workshop and installation on site
Take part in shutdowns and maintenance projects
Work in confined spaces and at heights where required
Keep the work area clean and organised
Work with supervisors and project teams, and complete project documentation and reports

Requirements & Eligibility

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, which includes drug and alcohol screening
Tickets: current Working at Heights certification, current Confined Space certification, High Risk Work Licence with EWP endorsement, and Construction White Card
Australian trade qualification in Boilermaking or Pipefitting, or a recognised overseas equivalent
Demonstrated structural, mechanical and piping fabrication experience
Must be able to pass 3G or 4G MMAW and FCAW welding tests
Previous work on industrial or mining projects
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
Can read and interpret technical drawings, with excellent teamwork and communication skills
