Key Responsibilities

Follow halal processing requirements, food safety rules and WHS procedures
Bone and trim beef carcases using the correct techniques, then prepare primal cuts to the required specifications
Protect product yield, presentation and quality
Operate knives and processing equipment safely
Carry out production work efficiently and accurately, keeping the workflow consistent and up to standard
Inspect products and report any quality or contamination issues
Maintain strict hygiene, both personally and across the workplace
Work well with the production team and take part in workplace training and development as required

Requirements & Eligibility

Current Australian working rights or eligibility for sponsorship; overseas applicants must meet the applicable Subclass 482 requirements
A relevant skills assessment if one is required for the nominated occupation
Able to meet the applicable English, health and character requirements
Proven hands-on experience in beef processing, boning, slicing or halal slaughter, with evidence of that industry experience
Commercial knife-handling ability that you can demonstrate
Working knowledge of beef cuts and processing techniques
Accuracy, quality and safe work practices are a strong focus for you
Fit to work productively in a physically demanding setting and to follow detailed processing and hygiene procedures
Reliable, disciplined at work and a good team member
