Key Responsibilities

Follow food hygiene standards and work safely at all times
Pull espresso-based coffee to café recipes and presentation standards
Make other hot drinks with consistent quality
Run espresso machines, grinders and beverage equipment
Handle workflow efficiently during rush periods
Serve customers in a friendly, professional way, taking orders and processing payments accurately
Assist with preparing and presenting café food
Keep workstations clean and organised
Clean and maintain coffee equipment on a routine basis
Check beverage supplies and support stock control
Help with opening and closing every day and keep service areas looking ready for customers

Requirements & Eligibility

Proven barista experience on the job
Strong technical knowledge of coffee preparation
Can keep quality and consistency during busy periods
Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Can work fast without letting quality slip
Reliable and committed
Good team player
High standard of cleanliness and personal presentation, plus an understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Flexible for rostered shifts and weekend work
