Key Responsibilities

Follow workplace health, safety and hygiene procedures, and keep your station clean, hygienic and organised
Deliver high-quality cuts for men, women and children
Produce both classic and contemporary styles
Consult each customer on the haircut and styling they want
Carry out beard trimming, shaping and grooming, plus wet shaves where you are properly skilled
Hold cutting, styling and finishing to a consistent standard and pay close attention to detail on every job
Advise customers on suitable hair care and grooming products
Provide professional, friendly service and build lasting relationships with new and returning clients
Cooperate effectively with fellow barbers and hairdressers and contribute to a positive, team-focused workplace
Keep your personal presentation professional
Take part in training and professional development

Requirements & Eligibility

Applicants must be able to provide genuine qualifications and employment history that can be verified
Candidates must meet the applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
Onshore candidates are preferred
A relevant Barbering or Hairdressing qualification is preferred
Demonstrated practical experience working in a salon or barbershop
Strong technical skill in traditional and modern haircutting
Confidence handling different hair types and customer requirements
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A strong customer service mindset
Professional appearance and presentation
A reliable, positive, motivated attitude and good attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and willingness to learn new techniques and keep developing
Shaving and beard-grooming experience is advantageous
Apprentices with suitable practical training may also be considered
