This is a full-time Barber position in North Lakes, Brisbane, with an established barbering team in Queensland. The employer is after an accomplished barber who already has at least 3 years' professional experience and can prove it.

Key Responsibilities

Assess what each client needs and recommend styles that work for them
Cut and groom men's hair: haircuts, skin fades, taper fades, beard trims and styling
Keep quality steady and professional standards accurate on every service you deliver
Give each client a welcoming, professional experience and build lasting relationships through dependable service
Set up, clean and look after tools, equipment and work areas in line with hygiene, health and safety requirements
Present yourself to a high personal standard
Cooperate with other barbers and support the wider team
Take part in training, coaching and skills development, then use new techniques and industry trends in daily work
Pursue the agreed performance and service targets, and offer ideas or back initiatives that lift the client experience
Build leadership ability, step up to more responsibility when appropriate, and help keep the workplace positive, respectful and high-performing

Requirements & Eligibility

A minimum 3 years working professionally as a barber
Hands-on work history in a commercial barbering environment that you can demonstrate
Verifiable, genuine barbering experience you are able to prove
Employment records relevant to the role that back up your professional experience
Strong technical skills across men's haircuts, fades, styling and beard grooming
Sound knowledge of professional barbering standards and client service
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Neat professional presentation and close attention to detail
Positive attitude and strong commitment to working as a team
A reliable, responsible work approach
Readiness to undertake continuing training and skills development, and to adapt to varied client preferences and current barbering trends
Genuine ambition to move forward in the barbering industry
Ability to meet applicable Australian employment requirements; eligible candidates may be considered for visa sponsorship on the basis of skills, experience and suitability
