Key Responsibilities
- Consult with every customer to pin down the haircut, styling and grooming they prefer
- Cut and style hair with razors, scissors and clippers, delivering fades, tapered cuts, traditional styles and contemporary barbering styles
- Shape and trim beards and moustaches, provide shaves and advise customers on products, grooming and hair care
- Disinfect and clean all tools, equipment and workstations, keep hygiene and safety standards in place, process payments and serve customers in a professional, friendly way
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Certificate III in Barbering or Hairdressing or its equivalent qualification; substantial relevant experience can stand in its place
- Demonstrated work experience as a barber
- Strong skills covering beard grooming, fades, clipper cutting and scissor cutting
- Clear communication skills, customer service skills and reliable work habits with professional presentation
- Able to work independently, contribute to a team and be available for a roster including weekends
