Bar Manager

This is a senior Bar Manager role in North Sydney, and it calls for someone with a proven record, not just service skills. Running a beverage operation well takes leadership, organisation, cost awareness and consistent operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Make sure the bar meets responsible alcohol service standards
Keep the bar compliant with liquor licence requirements
Take full charge of daily bar operations
Lead the bar team, including coaching and rostering staff
Coordinate beverage purchasing and stock management, keeping ordering and inventory systems efficient
Keep an eye on beverage usage and cost performance
Hold cocktails, wine and spirits to a high quality standard and support beverage menu development and ongoing improvements
Set up and maintain operating procedures and checklists, and improve bar workflows and service processes
Collaborate with the wider venue team

Requirements & Eligibility

You need a current NSW RSA competency card
At least three years of experience in senior bartending or bar management that is relevant to this role
Demonstrated responsibility for bar operations and proven experience leading and training teams
Strong, practical understanding of cocktails, wine and spirits
Track record managing beverage stock and ordering
Knowledge of beverage costing and inventory control
Strong communication skills and good organisational ability
High level of attention to detail and operational accuracy
Available for evening and weekend shifts
Either valid Australian work rights or eligibility to be sponsored by an employer
Ability to supply proof of relevant employment experience and professional background
Must meet all applicable requirements for employer-sponsored work in Australia
