Anyone can put 'baker' on a CV. This role is for a qualified Baker who can actually show commercial bakery skills, real production experience and the ability to deliver the same quality every day.

The employer is an established food business in South Australia. You will work in a structured, professional environment, using modern bakery equipment alongside an experienced team that turns out a range of breads and sweet bakery products.

Expect very early starts, and be ready to provide evidence of your qualifications and work experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lift and move ingredients and finished goods safely, including loads of up to 25kg
Bake breads and sweet yeast lines to a commercial standard, sticking to the established recipes, methods and procedures
Measure out, mix and get ingredients ready without errors
Run industrial ovens and commercial bakery machinery safely, and watch every bake so quality stays the same
Get each day's preparation, baking and packing done as production requires
Hold standards steady when the bakery is busy and timing is tight
Stick to food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
Keep your bakery workspace clean, tidy and efficient
Work hand in hand with the other bakers to hit production targets and keep daily operations running without hiccups

Requirements & Eligibility

A current and valid driver's licence; reliable transport is also needed
Proven background in commercial baking
Certificate III in Baking preferred
Real, hands-on time spent in a commercial bakery or food production setting
You have used industrial ovens and commercial bakery equipment in practice
You can show that you know baking methods, recipes and how production works
You understand food hygiene and food safety rules
You keep product quality and consistency steady
Available for early shifts that begin from approximately 2:00am
Physically fit with good stamina, and you can lift up to 25kg
A strong work ethic, you turn up when expected, and you cooperate well inside a professional bakery team
Eligibility for an appropriate visa, or valid Australian work rights
You can supply supporting evidence for your qualifications and relevant work experience
Prepared to work in South Australia
