A well-established automotive business is hiring a trade-qualified Automotive Technician with proven hands-on experience. Priority goes to technicians with genuine trade credentials, practical capability and a dependable employment record.

Employment is permanent, either full-time or part-time, Monday to Friday, and start and finish times are flexible. The workshop is equipped with modern diagnostic equipment and quality tools, and the team works closely together. As always, a genuine employer will never ask you to pay for a job offer.

Key Responsibilities

Work cooperatively with other technicians and workshop staff
Carry out scheduled vehicle servicing
Handle routine vehicle maintenance
Complete mechanical repairs on a range of makes and models
Run systematic vehicle inspections and mechanical fault finding
Identify faults with diagnostic scanners and modern workshop equipment
Repair vehicles efficiently and keep workmanship quality high
Record servicing, diagnostics and repairs accurately
Tell customers clearly what faults were found and what repair work is involved
Keep the workshop environment clean, safe and organised
Stick to proper workshop procedures and safety standards

Requirements & Eligibility

Current Australian Driver's Licence or eligibility to obtain one
At least 3 years of post-apprenticeship automotive experience, including demonstrated practical work on multiple vehicle makes and models
Relevant trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent, and genuine proof of your qualifications and employment experience
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including competent use of automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment
Close attention to detail and a commitment to quality repairs
Reliable and professional in handling workplace responsibilities
Can work independently and contribute positively within a team
Able to satisfy applicable sponsorship and employment requirements
