A busy blue-collar recruitment firm in Western Australia has a permanent full-time opening for an Account Manager / Recruiter. The person in this seat owns client relationships and coordinates the workforce supplied to those clients.
Expect variety and real responsibility. This is not a desk-only recruitment job: you will deal with clients face to face, go out to operational sites, line up workforce requirements and support employees for the length of their employment.
Success means vacancies filled quickly, rosters kept accurate and workforce problems resolved professionally. The role also builds your recruitment, account management and operational leadership skills. Reminder: no genuine employer will ask you to pay money for a job offer.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain employee rosters according to client requirements
- Own a portfolio of client accounts and keep those relationships strong over time
- Make regular visits to client workplaces to learn their staffing needs and operational priorities
- Receive and fulfil high-volume workforce orders, sourcing and coordinating suitable employees to meet demand
- Run recruitment and onboarding from initial placement right through to the employee's start date
- Keep in regular contact with employees and give them ongoing support
- Deal promptly with employee questions on payroll, workplace matters and general employment issues
- Assist with performance management, discipline and employee exits where required
- Watch attendance, staffing levels and operational changes, and find practical solutions to client and employee problems
- Complete recruitment and administrative documentation, keep records accurate and hold client service standards steady
- Work with internal colleagues to hit recruitment and workforce targets, and contribute to a professional, positive, results-focused culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in both office and client-site settings
- Experience in recruitment, labour hire, account management, workforce coordination or a comparable setting is highly desirable
- Proven skill in client relationships and stakeholder management
- Excellent communication, both written and spoken
- Strong organisation and time management, with a high level of attention to detail
- Confident, professional manner on the telephone
- Can work independently and still contribute effectively to a small team
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude to workplace challenges
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies, employees and client requirements at the same time
- Good computer skills, confidence with recruitment or workforce management software, professional presentation and a positive attitude
